Weekly schedule for Tues., June 26th to Mon., July 2nd

If you want a week with lots of riding, ya got it.

The Tuesday Night Ride:Our weekly Tuesday night rides continues from Total Cyclery (231 Pitt St.) . Starting time is 5:30 pm and the duration will be between 1 and 2 hours. Come on out and practice group riding skills. All members are encouraged to come out. 

40 km Time Trial, Wednesday and Thursday, 6:30 pm Start - St. Andrews Course
Our weekly time trial series continue with a challenging 40 km time trial starting from St. Andrews and travelling to St. Raphels and back. Ample parking is available in St. Andrews. Riders will ride from the St.Andrews parking lot east to the start line 1 km away. The course follows the road till the turn around point just outside of St. Raphels and back. Riders depart in 1 min. intervals. Be prepared to time yourself. Hope to see everyone out!

140 km Challenge "The Modified Glen Ride"
Sunday, July 1 st, 8:00am start.
Start: 8:00 am
Location:  16903 Beaver Dam Dr. - start from Penny Tallman's house
Description: Start from St. Andrews, travel back to Cornwall via Power Dam Dr. then take the bike path to leave the city and visit our first Glen - Glen Water. From there it is on to South Lancaster, Curry Hill, North Lancaster, Glen Nevis, Glen Normon, Green Valley, Brown House Corner, St. Raphels, Glen Roy, Martintown, Nine Mile Rd., Glen Falloch and back to the school in St. Andrews. What a challenge.
After the ride, Penny has graciously offered her house for a post ride BBQ, swim and hottub shenigans.  Now come on out, set a new riding goal and relax in the end with a soak.

Monday, July 2nd: "The Statutory Holiday Road Race/Ride" - 75 km
Start - 9:00 am.Race/Ride Location: St. Andrews School
Distance: Race - 75 km, Ride - to be determined by those who attend.
Friday sees another edition of the Canada Road Race. Racers will depart from the school at St. Andrews to follow King's Highway out to McCraig's Corners, a left turn and the start of 3 laps of the Eastern Course.

Weekly schedule for Tues., June 19th to Sun., June 24th

I said I wanted the heat ...... but this is ridiculous.

The Tuesday Night Ride:Our weekly Tuesday night rides continues from Total Cyclery (231 Pitt St.) . Starting time is 5:30 pm and the duration will be between 1 and 2 hours. Come on out and practice group riding skills. All members are encouraged to come out. 

15 km Time Trial, Wednesday, June 20th  and Thursday, June 21st 6:30 pm Start - Williamstown Course
Our weekly time trial series continue with a 15 km time trial starting from SandyWoods Estates and travelling to Williamstown and back. Ample parking is available in Sandywoods. Riders will ride from SandyWoods to the start line 1 km away. The course follows the road till the turn around point just outside of Williamstown and back. Riders depart in 1min. intervals. Be prepared to time yourself. Hope to see everyone out.

Saturday, June 23rd, HIGH TEMPO RIDE
Start: 9:00 am
Duration: a couple of hours
Location: St. Andrews Parking Lot
Want to train those legs to go faster and learn group riding techniques? Then Saturday's ride is for you.  This weeks course of study - high intensity intervals and sprinting.

Club Ride - Sunday, June 24th  9:00 am Start

The heat is here, the heat is here  ....... I said the heat is finally here.

The Tuesday Night Ride:Our weekly Tuesday night rides continues from Total Cyclery (231 Pitt St.) . Starting time is 5:30 pm and the duration will be between 1 and 2 hours. Come on out and practice group riding skills. All members are encouraged to come out. 

8 KM Time Trial - St. Andrews: Wed., and Thurs. June 13th and 14th, 6:30 pm
Final
8km of the year. Riders will ride out from the school at St. Andrews at 6:30 to the junction of Avonmore Rd. and the 15 km TT course. Riders will race back to the school.

Rest day on Saturday.  All fathers need to rest up for this weekend's Father's Day activities.  Again to all the Fathers out there I wish them a well deserved, restful holiday and the hope that they get exactly what they wish for and ask for on Father's Day.  Gentlemen, we have earned it.

It is privilege to present this week's events and wish best of luck those who are doing Rideau Lakes this week.

Want to train those legs to go faster and learn group riding techniques? Then Saturday's ride is for you. The idea of the ride is to learn proper pedaling and pace line techniques at a brisk pace.
Come out and give it a try.

120 km Challenge "The Glen Ride" 
Sunday, June 10th, 8:00am start.
Start: 8:00 am
Location:  St. Andrews
Description: Start from St. Andrews, travel back to Cornwall via Power Dam Dr. then take the bike path to leave the city and visit our first Glen - Glen Water.  From there it is on to South Lancaster, Bainsville, North Lancaster, Glen Nevis, Glen Normon, Green Valley, Glen Roy, Martintown, Nine Mile Rd., Headline Rd. to Power Dam and back to the school in St. Andrews.  What a challenge.
