Results from the Tour de Keith 100 KM Time Trial
Many rode, some raced and one walked away with a sore ass..... So sums up this years Tour de Keith. Many years ago, long before my time with the club, Keith Smith stated "if you like time trialing, have I got a route for you!" So was born the 100 km TT in Moira, NY.
Al Russel once stated "I'm going for a bike ride. If you want to time me, that's your problem." There were 7 riders who had that problem today. 4 others came out to ride the course. Of the seven brave men and women who raced, 3 were riding the race for the first time. One veteran and the namesake of the race came out to show how the 60's are now the new 30's. Here are the times:
1st. Marc Dubuc 2:48:52 PB
2nd. Keith Smith 2:56:30
3rd. Dean Neville 2:58:52 PB
4th Tom Leroux 3:03:25
5th Gary Easton 3:07:09 PB
6th Kendall Bharath 3:21:23 PB
7th Tanya Deeks 3:28:40
By the way, I was the one with the sore ass.

4th Annual Nowak Stage Race: Recap, results and pics!
10 fearless two wheeled warriors looked upon the blackened heavens and cried, "Yes, yes.... today is a good day to die. No wait, today is a good day to kick some a$@. Anxiously all morning these brave men (I only say this because there were no women this year - missed ya Maren) battled and there emerged a victor. Here is a very fast breakdown of the results and overall:
2km Time Trial:
1st. Chris Chisholm 2:48
2nd. Pierre Leblanc 2:49
3rd. Marc Dubuc all 2:54
Rob Allen
Dale Witty
8 Lap Criterium:
Hard fought with a special thanks to the spectators that came out to cheer us on (especially the one in the PJ's) Prime lap placing was Pierre, Marc and Jamie McManus
Overall:
1st. Chris Chisholm
2nd. Marc Dubuc
3rd. Rob Allen
42km Road Race:
This year's edition was a standout due to three factors. The first was the amazing average speed of over 37km/h. The second was that it stayed dry during it and the third factors were the aggressive riding from everyone (especially those Bharath, Belair & Leroux kids)
Overall:
1st: Rob Allen
2nd: Chris Chisholm
3rd: Tom Leroux
Overall Results:
Here are the top 10 placings. I guess riding for your newborn is great inspiration.
