Weekly Schedule for Tuesday, May 1st to Sunday, May 6th

Warmer weather hopefully.  Rain, rain and snow go away, here is the schedule for the week today:

The Tuesday Night Ride:
Our weekly Tuesday night rides continues from Total Cyclery (231 Pitt St.) . Starting time is 5:30 pm and the duration will be between 1 and 2 hours. Come on out and practice group riding skills. All members are encouraged to come out.  Try an Argon 18 tonight.

15 km Time Trial, Wednesday, May 2nd and Thursday, May 3rd.   6:30 pm Start - Williamstown Course
NOTE:  NEW START TIME OF 6:30.  This will be the new starting time for all of May, June, July and August.
Our weekly time trial series continue with a 15 km time trial starting from SandyWoods Estates and travelling to Williamstown and back. Ample parking is available in Sandywoods. Riders will ride from SandyWoods to the start line 1 km away. The course follows the road till the turn around point just outside of Williamstown and back. Riders depart in 1min. intervals. Be prepared to time yourself. Hope to see everyone out!

Club Ride:  Sunday, May 6th, The Malone Ride
Location:  Malone, NY, Municipal Park and Beach
Time:  8:30 meet at Harvey's to travel across border.  Bring Passports.
A new route of around 70 kms.  Start at the Park and climb mighty Owl's Head and Titus Mountain.  No map link yet.  One should be coming.

Weekly Schedule for Tuesday, April 24th to Sunday, April 29th plus CAMEBA results

Howdy folks, here is this week's schedule along with the results from Saturday's CAMEBA Road Race.

Tuesday Night Ride:
Our weekly Tuesday night rides continues from Total Cyclery (231 Pitt St.) . Starting time is 5:30 pm and the duration will be between 1 and 2 hours. Come on out and practice group riding skills. All members are encouraged to come out.

15 km Time Trial, Wednesday and Thursday, 6:00 pm Start,  St. Andrews
Our weekly time trial series continue with a 15 km time trial starting from St. Andrews. Riders will ride from the St. Andrews parking lot at 6:00 pm at the 15km start line. Riders depart in 1min. intervals and finish back in St. Andrews. Be prepared to time yourself. Hope to see everyone out! Swimsuit season is near and a TT is the best way to get in shape!!!!

Saturday, April 28th, HIGH TEMPO RIDE
Start: 10:30 am
Duration: a couple of hours
Location:  St. Andrews Parking Lot
Want to train those legs to go faster and learn group riding techniques?  Then Saturday's ride is for you.  The idea of the ride is to learn proper pedaling and pace line techniques at a brisk pace.
Come out and give it a try.

Sunday, April 29th:  75 km Challenge
Start: 10:30 am
Duration: a couple of hours
Location: St. Andrews Parking Lot
The first in our series of building up a fitness base and challenging one's self with a distance never before attempted.  Those in the club with more experience have a chance to pass on cycling wisdom and stories of lessons learned.  No one will be left behind.
The route may change but here is a possible tour:  Moose Creek to Maxville

Mud, mud and did I mention mud.  Epic day for an epic race. 7 faced the slop and only one came out on top.   Thanks again to Chris and Maren for being such gracious hosts.  Here are the results:

Cornwall Cycle Club Bike Skills sessions

Hello,
The Cornwall Cycle Club is offering to its members a bike skills series taught by our very own Tanya Deeks, NCCP Cycling Community Coach. Please view the attached PDF for more information.
These sessions will increase your bike handling skills, teach you the basics on how to properly ride your bike and how to stay safe while riding your bike.
These sessions are free to members of the CCC – Please email Tanya directly to reserve your spot.
Sessions start this coming Tuesday, April 24th at the Civic Complex Aquatic Centre Parking lot at 5:30pm.

Weekly Schedule for Tuesday Apr.17th to Sunday Apr.22th

This week's events:


Tuesday Night Ride:
Our weekly Tuesday night ride starts from Total Cyclery (231 Pitt St.) . Starting time is 5:30 pm and the duration will be between 1 and 2 hours. Come on out and practice group riding skills. All members are encouraged to come out. 



8 KM Time Trial - Williamstown: Wed., and Thurs. April 18th and 19th, 6:00 pm
First 8km of the year.  This time it will take place outside the church in Williamstown. Riders will meet at Sandywoods Estates and ride to the church in Williamstown en mass. Once there riders will leave in 30 second intervals and finish near the 15 KM TT line. It should be noted that there is a separate finish line for the 8KM TT which is further up the hill.

Saturday, April 21st: CAMEBA (Chris and Maren's Excellent Backyard Adventure) Road Race, 11:00am
Location: Chris Chisholm's House - 18317 County Rd 18, Martintown
Course: 50 km off road road race. Gravel Roads behind Martintown.
5 laps. First lap is neutral to see the course.

The countdown is almost over and the season starts Monday, April 9th at noon






Time to get those legs a moving. The season kicks off with:

The Small Ring Road Race, Monday April 9th
Location: St. Andrews Parking Lot.
Time: 12:00 noon
Duration: 42 kms.  Two upper loops.  Here is link to the Upper Loops:  Upper Loop at Harrison's Corners
Rules: #1. Never enter the big ring (Compact crank riders - open to negotiation)
            #2. Be a member of the Cornwall Cycle Club.
