MS BIKE TOUR

For those who might be interested:

Weekly schedule for Tuesday, July 30th to Monday, August 5th

Tuesday Night Ride: July 30th.
Our weekly Tuesday night rides continues from Total Cyclery (231 Pitt St.) . Starting time is 5:30 pm and the duration will be between 1 and 2 hours. Come on out and practice group riding skills. All members are encouraged to come out.



15 km Time Trial, Wednesday, July 31st and Thursday, August 1st.  
6:30 pm Start - Williamstown CourseOur weekly time trial series continue with a 15 km time trial starting a little past SandyWoods Estates and travelling to Williamstown and back. Ample parking is available in Sandywoods. Riders will ride from SandyWoods to the start line 1 km away. The course follows the road till the turn around point just outside of Williamstown and back. Riders depart in 1min. intervals. Be prepared to time yourself. Hope to see everyone out!

Monday, August 5th: 4th Annual "Whatever You Call The August Long Weekend Road Race/Ride" - 75 km. 9:00 am start.Race/Ride Location: St. Andrews School
Distance: Race - 75 km, Ride - to be determined by those who attend.
Monday sees another edition of the August Long Weekend Road Race. Racers will depart from the school at St. Andrews to follow King's Highway out to McCraig's Corners, a left turn and the start of 3 laps of the Eastern Course.

Tuesday Night Ride: July 23rd.
Our weekly Tuesday night rides continues from Total Cyclery (231 Pitt St.) . Starting time is 5:30 pm and the duration will be between 1 and 2 hours. Come on out and practice group riding skills. All members are encouraged to come out.


40 km Time Trial,
Wednesday and Thursday, 6:30 pm Start - St. Andrews Course
Our weekly time trial series continue with a challenging 40 km time trial starting from St. Andrews and travelling to St. Raphels and back. Ample parking is available in St. Andrews. Riders will ride from the St.Andrews parking lot east to the start line 1 km away. The course follows the road till the turn around point just outside of St. Raphels and back. Riders depart in 1 min. intervals. Be prepared to time yourself. Hope to see everyone out!

Saturday, July 27th, HIGH TEMPO RIDE
Start: 9:00 am
Duration: a couple of hours
Location: St. Andrews Parking Lot
Want to train those legs to go faster and learn group riding techniques? Then Saturday's ride is for you. The idea of the ride is to learn proper pedaling and pace line techniques at a brisk pace.
Come out and give it a try.

Touring ride - Owl's Head, NY
Sunday, July 28th
Time: 8:00 am at Harvey's Restaurant.  Don't Forget Passports
Distance: 80km give or take
This month's touring ride will consist of a lap around Malone, New York.  The route will take you over the climbs of Owl's Head and Mount Titus.  Climbing gears are a must.
We are asking that member's interested in doing this ride RSVP Marc at mdubuc1@cogeco.ca so that we can confirm if there is enough interest for this day.

9:00 Start.
Location: St. Andrews School Parking Lot
Distance and Pace: The ride is to be determined by those attending.
